Job Overview

As Social Media Manager, you will represent the face of DFW Airport across each of our social platforms both internally and externally.  Your work will stretch across the organization supporting the goals of each airport department from a social media perspective.  This work will include activities from coordinating to executing social media projects which include proactive content, customer service response, crisis response and measuring the impact thereof.

 

You will work under the leadership of the Senior Marketing Manager and with a team of motivated marketing professionals including project managers, photographers, videographers, and graphic designers to support the execution of your work.  Your content will not only be targeting our passengers but will include internal employees, our local communities, and special event audiences delivering best-in-class social media content and engagement to each.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing the DFW Airport social media strategy and content calendar to advance the Airport’s priorities and brand.
  • Develop social media tactics to support the Airport’s vision, mission, and objectives; manage and maintain the Airport’s presence on external communication platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and other social media platforms.
  • Maintain the Airport’s social media listening strategy, using data and analytics to identify pain points throughout the Airport business units and proactively collaborate with those units to identify solutions to the issues.
  • Develop and manage the Airport’s paid and organic social media campaigns that advance the Airport’s priorities and brand; monitoring emerging trends and technology in the social media space, advocating for their adoption within the team and leading implementation of new social media technologies by the Airport staff and Executives.
  • Conceptualizes, writes, proofreads, edits, and publishes all social media content.
  • Identifies opportunities for influencer marketing; creates pitches and concepts for potential partnerships to actively grow the Airport’s social media audience.

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in marketing/advertising or communications/public relations environment.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and /or experience may be substituted for the above

 

What we desire:

  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms, with a keen understanding of the face pace of change, trends, and trend analysis in that space.
  • Knowledge of social media tools, including Sprinklr, Rival IQ, Loomly, Hoosuite, Sprout Social, etc.
  • Knowledge of video production tools and experience in video production for social media.
  • Knowledge of paid social media campaign tools & strategies for various platforms.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with software packages used in graphics production such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Canva.
