Qualifications

 

      Job Overview:

 

Under supervision of the Sr ITS Field Services Manager, assists in the supervision of Field Service Technician staff to ensure the daily support of technical support services. Scope of job usually entails daily supervision of ITS operations as well resolving higher-level complex maintenance, testing and repair of computer hardware and software. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

•     Supervises daily operation of the Field Services staff, prepares trouble tickets, and ensures that ticket requests are processed in a timely matter.  Escalates calls as necessary.

•     Consults with Manager to review the feasibility of systems requests from client departments.

•     Researches and orders ITS equipment based on system needs.

•     Performs installations, preventive maintenance, testing, and repair of PCs and peripheral equipment at customer site.

•     Troubleshoots moderately complex problems with hardware and software

•     Prepares trouble tickets on issues such as equipment failure, repair, and prepares data sheets relative to each service call; analyzes equipment.

•     Resolves systems problems, including coordination between end users and hardware components of a local area network; trains and assists end users in assigned applications.

•     Provides new and re-occurring training to Field Technicians and Helpdesk Specialists as necessary on new hardware/software.

 

What you need:

 

•     Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.

•     Completion of formal education in computer operations and repair.

•     Five (5) years of experience in computer operations including one (1) year of computer maintenance.

•     Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

•     Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.   

  •   Possession of a valid class C driver's license.

 

What we desire:

 

•     Experience in Microsoft NT network operating system.

•     Experience in Window XP, Win7 operating systems

•     MCP or MCSE certification.

•     Experience with Airport Processing systems, i.e., Common-Use, EVIDS, CCTV, PA, etc.

     

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

 

 

•     Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
