Job Overview

DFW International Airport is looking to add to our growing IT Business Analyst team. You will be responsible for analyzing business requests, eliciting, and documenting requirements, process diagramming, prototyping, support and clarifications during development sprints, issue triage and resolution. Performs within the standard methodology guidelines and regularly reports work progress.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, and decomposes high-level information into requirement details.
  • Translates high level objectives into feasible, testable, measurable functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis and root cause analysis to identify underlying needs and opportunities.
  • Develops data mapping, business process flows and other related diagrams, as needed.
  • Monitors scope change requests and conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications encountered during the life of the project.
  • Collaborates with QA to review test plans and test criteria to ensure all aspects of new and/or existing systems adhere to functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform process mapping and requirement gathering while working and communicating with internal and external customers. 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience creating business and software requirements.
  • Experience managing requirements for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

What we desire:

  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing cross organizational business process flows.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Iterative development.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, process and detailed-oriented, a self-starter who is highly motivated to obtain goals/results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization (i.e., Project Managers, Developers, and other technical and business staff).
  • Business analysis (CBAP) a plus and or PMP.
