Job Overview:

Under general direction of the Assistant Vice President Total Rewards & Human Resources Operations, is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Airport’s compensation programs. Programs include, but are not limited to, managing the Airport’s competitive position for all compensation programs, such as the annual merit and incentive administration, structure development, job evaluations, market compensation studies, position management, reclassifications, salary offers, reorganizations and data requests.  This position is the subject matter expert in all compensation strategies and supports the organization design efficiencies. 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Develops, directs, and participates in the Airport’s compensation program such as the merit budget, structure development, salary action items.
  • Conducts non-executive job evaluations using the Hay Job Evaluation methodology.
  • Provides subject matter expertise regarding job evaluations in the HR job evaluation committee meetings. Oversees job evaluation process to maintain equitable classification and pay levels.
  • Manages the Internal Compensation Committee (ICC) meetings and outcomes
  • Conducts research of state and federal regulations, procedures and court decisions regarding compensation and related HR programs.
  • Recommends plan changes or modifications to the AVP Total Rewards and HR Operations Vice President in response to changing business needs, market inequity, legislative requirements, or Board policy.
  • Recommends plan changes or modifications to the AVP Total Rewards and HR Operations Vice President in response to changing business needs, market inequity, legislative requirements, or Board policy.
  • Manages the annual salary planning process for non-executives which includes monitoring performance management distribution, eligibility requirements, adherence to budget and client support.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, human resource management, public administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in compensation administration, consulting or related field including two (2) years of experience with job evaluation methodologies, Hay Job Evaluation methodology, preferred.
  • Three (3) years with direct supervisory experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

What we desire:

  • Certification such as, Certified Compensation Professional, PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, CEBS, CBP or other human resources certification.
  • PeopleSoft/Oracle experience.
  • HAY Job Evaluation experience.
  • Public speaking skills and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
