As a Contract Administrator, you will work closely with the Contracts Manager, Procurement Manager, or Senior Buyer to prepare and administer a variety of contracts, including commodity, general, information technology, and professional services contracts. Your responsibilities will involve developing technical specifications and bid proposal packages, managing the solicitation process, negotiating terms and conditions, and overseeing the execution of contracts. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with contract provisions, handling change orders, and facilitating contract closeout.
In addition to these responsibilities, you may have the opportunity to provide technical oversight and direction as a Senior Contract Administrator. This exciting position allows you to work at the forefront of airport operations, contributing to the growth and success of one of the busiest airports in the world.
To excel in this role, you should possess a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a related field such as technical/engineering or information technology. You should also have at least two years of purchasing experience or experience administering contracts, including negotiating new contracts and modifications. Proficiency in using computer systems, including ERP systems and Microsoft Suite applications, and Oracle Fusion Cloud is essential for managing contract-related data effectively.
As a Contract Administrator, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of public contract administration, public bidding laws, and contract funding procedures. Your ability to interpret specifications, negotiate proposals, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring successful contract management.
