Job Overview
As a key member of our team, you will work under the general direction of the Lease & Property Manager, driving multiple commercial development projects aligned with our strategic plan and land use plan. You will have the opportunity to coordinate and define various aspects of new program initiatives, including facility development/redevelopment, leasing opportunities, and facility utilization. To excel in this role, you should possess the ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain legal/lease documents, regulations, financial reports, and business proposals/approvals. Additionally, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, will be vital as you interact with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
What you will be doing:
- Drafts and finalizes lease related agreements such as estoppels, licenses, sublease consents and assignments; evaluates and develops recommendations regarding business proposals; coordinates completion of lease documents with Airport's legal staff.
- Assists in the development and lease of real property and facilities, including coordinating property management, alterations, inspections, and tenant activities.
- Serves on multi-department teams developing business strategies concerning property and facilities.
- Coordinates with Airport's Environmental Department to achieve compliance with Pollution Prevention Plan and Noise Monitoring Programs.
- Conducts regular on-site compliance inspections of leased and owned facilities to ensure conformity with lease terms, documents conditions through generation of inspection reports and photographs and, if applicable, generates deficiency notices and action plans to resolve noncompliance issues.
- Works in an office environment approximately 50% of the time. Balance spent on Airport property conducting property inspections.
- Drives to locations on and off Airport property.
- Assists in Airport real estate and leasing responsibilities, as directed.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- Four (4) years of professional-level experience in commercial real estate development, property management, real estate leasing preferably industrial.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
