Job Overview

Do you have a passion for ensuring construction projects are completed to the highest standards? Join our team as a Senior Construction Inspector!  Under the general supervision of the Senior Construction and QA Manager for Construction, Code, and Survey, you will implement the development of airport facilities projects to support the airport's strategic growth and business plan. You will assist the Senior Construction and QA Manager with quality control and quality assurance, management, and inspection of airport projects, along with appropriate oversight of contractors.

 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Advising the Senior Construction and QA Manager on policies, programs, and activities related to construction inspection programs.
  • Supervising and performing construction inspections to maintain compliance with industry standards and adopted codes.
  • Ensuring contractors implement and follow a quality control plan, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Monitoring and verifying testing activities, including commissioning.
  • Providing staff oversight of material testing activities, code inspections, commissioning activities, and scheduling of these activities.
  • Ensuring DFW safety and environmental policies are followed by contractors.
  • Assisting the Senior Construction and QA Manager in overseeing construction activities, including maintaining logs, schedules, contracts, and photographic documentation.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the delivery orders for materials testing activities for construction projects.
  • Assist Construction Managers in ensuring compliance with provisions of Davis-Bacon Wage Act pertaining to wage requirements for Federal funded projects.

 

 

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction technology, or construction management.
  • Five (5) years of experience in general construction of civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects.
  • ICC Code Certifications
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
