Job Overview
Under direction of the Senior Land and Facilities Development Manager, plans, develops, and implements Commercial Development and Public Facility Improvement Corporation ("PFIC") approved projects in support of the Airport's Strategic and Business Plan. Uses project management principles and practices to oversee and coordinate the plans, approvals and documentation as required for administration and execution of PFIC related projects. Manages yearly operating budget, revenues, and capital expenditures. Develops and implements a comprehensive tracking process designed to ensure that present and future PFIC projects and financial processes are efficient. Manages the multiple aspects of new program initiatives construction, development and leasing of retail, office, hotel and industrial land and facilities. Monitors market conditions, evaluates proposals and alternatives, coordinating with current PFIC approved projects, and creates financial statements and justifications for Capital Committee and Board presentations and approval.
What you will be doing:
- Interacts with Airport stakeholders, FAA, local, state, and federal agencies and other public agencies involved in airport development projects.
- Analyzes, reviews, drafts, and assists in negotiation of leases, reimbursement agreements, and related contracts including coordinating with other Airport departments on new leases, terms, improvements, and compliance with the Airport's environmental policies and permitting procedures.
- Tracks developed and undeveloped land and updates the Commercial Development Land Use Plan and webpage as changes occur.
- Supports other managers within the Commercial Development Department with expansion of new and existing leases, lease renewals and other public infrastructure projects as they arise.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within and outside the organization, both orally and in writing.
- Maintains files of account and expense records and provides estimated costs to the Board resulting from the use of Board employees working on PFIC projects.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, construction, real estate, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of real estate development, project management, redevelopment, marketing, planning, construction, or property management.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
