If so, DFW Airport is seeking a Senior Information Technology Construction Manager to oversee key projects that align with our strategic growth and business plan. What you will be doing:

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with the Senior DCC Project Manager and the Infrastructure and Development department to ensure project scopes and activities are executed according to airport design criteria and codes. You'll be involved in driving in the Airfield Operations Area (AOA) and accessing all forms of construction in progress.
  • Quality Control: Manage project quality control and oversee  costs, coordinating activities with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet all standards.
  • Budget Management: Review detailed budget and project status reports, securing approval from the Assistant Vice President, Infrastructure, and ensure that all financial aspects of projects are on track.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Track project budgets, estimates, schedules, and changes, and disseminate this information to teams as needed, keeping everyone aligned and informed.
  • Construction Oversight: Assist in construction site inspections and oversee architectural/engineering design projects, working closely with staff to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Leadership: Take full responsibility for a variety of projects throughout the design, construction, and close-out phases, ensuring successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.

What you need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of experience in planning, leading, and executing development and/or architectural projects.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices in programming, planning, design, construction, and maintenance of airport-related facilities.
  • Aviation Industry Insight: Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to facility development within the aviation industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to coordinate and oversee a team of professional and technical personnel, ensuring successful project implementation.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to detect and correct plan defects during the construction phase, utilizing construction administration standard change management practices.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and to establish effective relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in reading and articulating complex design and construction schedules.
  • Licensing: Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
