What you will be doing:

  • Provides a central point of communication for concession design projects.
  • Coordinates departmental projects related to terminal tenant improvements and/or relocation programs including direct oversight of the space planning, project management.
  • Establishes design management guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
  • Develops a design management plan including the associated performance metrics to evaluate performance by all participants in the design effort.
  • Creates sustainability program guidelines, practices, and protocols. Approves project-level sustainability recommendations. Oversees a compliance/quality assurance program to ensure implementation of design quality control efforts.
  • Manages project budgets and establishes project cost estimates.
  • Supports design teams and/or design builders including the development of design schedules and packaging.
  • Manages design assignments for concessionaire design packages, holding to approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality and ensures compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
  • Manages concessions architects, engineers, and special systems consultants and integrators. Coordinates and interacts with tenants, consultants, contractors and other Airport departments to respond to requests for information such as (but not limited to) requests for floor plan images or "exhibits".
  • Coordinates needs for project phasing and packaging between the owner, contractor, and designer and creates presentations for Airport departments involving space layouts and various terminal configurations.
  • Establishes and approves constructability review guidelines and protocols, review design progress and approve recovery plans. Reviews and evaluates requested changes arising from design errors/omissions, including those changes that require redesign and/or a change order by the contractors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction, interior design or property management, or a related field. 
  • Three (3) years of experience in architecture, construction, interior design or property management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in facilities management.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.  
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
