Job Overview
As the Assistant Vice President, Procurement & Materials Management, you will manage the procurement and contracting functions of all general and professional services for DFW Airport. You will plan, organize, supervise, and administer centralized purchasing, contract solicitation, administration, payments, warehousing, surplus property, and mail service programs. Leading consistent legal and ethical procurement practices is a critical component of this role along with ensuring all programs follow both state procurement laws and DFW Airport policies.
 
What you will be doing:
•     Works in a complex fast paced high demand environment ensuring procurement needs are met to support a large-scale progressive airport business environment.
•     Provides high quality, cost effective, and timely procurement processes to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
•     Responsible for administrative functions of the department, including developing policies and procedures, personnel matters, and in managing, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities of the department.
•     Manages through subordinate supervisors the purchasing, contracting, warehousing and inventory functions, storage and disposal of surplus and abandoned property, and the distribution and posting of United States and interoffice mail.
•     Manages the development of written recommendations (Official Board Actions) and reports for Board Committees and plans and schedules activities to meet the demands of the monthly Board cycle.
 
 
What you need:
•     Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
•     Seven (7) years of progressive procurement leadership responsibility, with broad purchasing and contracting experience.
•     A Master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the above-stated experience.
•     Experience with cloud-based procurement systems management operation.
•     Five (5) years of professional staff management and supervisory experience.
•     Professional Procurement Certification such as ISM CPSM or CPM.
•     Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.

•     Experience developing and managing vendor relations programs to ensure.
