Job Overview

As the Assistant Vice President of IT Project and Program Management, you will oversee a team of Project Managers, Program Managers. You will oversee the development of the Project Portfolio Management System, and support personnel by providing guidance, mentoring, and monitoring workflow. You will also direct teams in project methodologies and strategies to ensure delivery related activities at both the program and at the project level are appropriately planned, documented, and executed. You will lead the identification and implementation of project management policies, processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework that supports all program, project teams, and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery.

What you will be doing:

•     Defining and developing program/project/program management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Defines and consults on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards, and surveys across organization.

•     Creating, measuring, and communicating project and program plans, milestones, and metrics, including budgets.

•     Developing audience-appropriate communications to inform and educate various groups on purpose and outcomes of projects, including preparation of presentation materials for Steering Committees, Executive Leadership, and management groups.

•     Building the skills of the project management organization to include strong program and project governance and delivery skills.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a program management governance role including significant experience managing large complex initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

What we desire:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or related field of study.
  • Knowledgeable of IT Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
  • Experience with project/program management at airports or business entities with large complex. technology portfolios.
  • Experience leading Digital and/or Technology strategic planning initiatives.
