What you will be doing:

•     Improving DFW’s overall environmental performance by ensuring environmental aspects related to stormwater industrial, municipal, and construction activities are conducted in a manner compliant with all environmental rules and regulations.

•     Collaborating with various airport stakeholders (airport employees, tenants, contractors, and general public) to implement/utilize more sustainable practices and technologies.

•     Overseeing internal staff and other consultants in the planning, proactive needs analysis, management, and scheduling of projects in accordance with airport and environmental affairs design criteria and codes and reports any concerns/issues to the Program Manager.

•     Designing and participating in field investigations of airport activities which affect the environment; overseeing the work of analyst, consultants, or contractors; participating in sampling of environmental media such as soil, stormwater, air, and waste.

•     Operating various in-situ or continuous monitoring environmental sampling equipment to support the airport’s stormwater, watershed, and TMDL related programs.

What you need:

•     Bachelor's degree in physical or life sciences, environmental science, engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.

•     Four (4) years of professional experience in environmental operations, environmental analysis, or environmental program administration.

•     Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

•     Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

What we desire:

•     Certification in any of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP), Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Registered Environmental Manager certification (REM)

•     Experience with municipal or industrial wastewater treatment

•     Experience in industrial/municipal/construction stormwater compliance

•     Experience utilizing a broad range of various GIS and environmental software applications to assist with evaluating environmental aspects
