Job Overview

For this Analytics Manager position we are looking for an experienced candidate well versed in advanced analytics/data science/operations research concepts including statistical data analysis, forecasting, optimization, and machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques. You will perform statistical and financial analyses, manage, and maintain databases to analyze and produce ad hoc reports, airline business cases, and periodic management presentations. You will work on varied analytics projects to support departments throughout the DFW Airport enterprise. Working closely with the Sr. Aviation Analytics Manager, and Vice President of Aviation Strategy and Enterprise Analytics you will also develop, maintain, and communicate a deep analytical understanding and performance assessment of airline activity at DFW and other airports, including operations, landed weights, passengers, fares and yields, and other such metrics. You will also participate in the execution of air service route traffic and revenue forecasting and use the results to build compelling business case airline presentations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Actively work with departments enterprise-wide, including but not limited to Operations, Human Resources, Parking Business, Treasury, Revenue Management, Finance to develop and deliver deep analyses, special projects, dashboarding and ongoing monthly performance reports
  • Develop data-driven predictive and prescriptive decision-support models, incorporating operations research / data science / machine learning techniques
  • Develop air service route traffic and revenue forecasts, including using QSI models to effectively interpret the results, determining the profit potential of air service routes, trouble-shooting forecasting issues, and altering forecast assumptions and methodology based on feedback
  • Perform statistical and financial analysis and market research to support the passenger development plan, assist in the identification of under-served and emerging markets, and recommend strategies for advancing DFW’s market position.
  • Develop and produce management and executive reports (e.g., world traffic trends) and marketing presentations to support growth strategies.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, marketing, international business, finance/economics, statistics, aviation management or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in market research and analysis, trade development or quantitative analysis.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience to equal two (2) years of work experience for one (1) year of education may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

What We Desire

  • Working knowledge of a foreign language.
  • Experience in Tableau, QSI model and forecasting
  • Knowledge of international business and/or airline industry.
  • Master of Data Science, or Master of Business Administration degree.
