Job Overview

Under general supervision, leads and performs a variety of complex clerical accounting work in assigned area.  Exercise’s initiative, judgment, and discretion in the resolution of accounting problems within the constraints of accepted accounting principles and Board policies and procedures.

What you will be doing:

•     Prepares, verifies, and produces invoices for all receivables, including landing fees, terminal and other facility rentals, concession rentals, ground rentals, utilities, services and other receivables from various source documents and contracts.

•     Verifies and balances accounts; prepares journal entries; posts, compiles, tabulates, and compares financial data.

•     Reviews and interprets tenant agreements; sets up billing schedules.

•     Maintains ongoing communication with airport tenants and concessionaires by telephone, letters and meetings relating to accounts receivable; executes appropriate action on past-due accounts.

•     Daily check deposits and daily cash application (daily batches must be entered in Oracle)

•     Research receivables and billing questions for tenants, concessionaires, and Board staff.

What you need:

•     Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.

•     Completion of college-level accounting course work

•     Three (3) years of responsible clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience.

•     Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above

•     Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.

•     Ability to prepare and maintain financial and other records in a systematic and orderly manner.

•     Ability to perform complex numerical detail work with speed and accuracy.

•     Knowledge of clerical accounting, terminology, and practices.

•     Ability to establish and maintain harmonious and effective internal and external working relationships.
