Fire Benefits

Health

Life happens, and when it does, we offer employees a range of options for medical plans. Dental and vision coverage is also available for employees and their families.

DFW Airport has an onsite LiveWell Center and LiveWell Health Clinic. The LiveWell Center provides access to a full weight room, cardio machines, group fitness classes, personal trainers and more at no cost for all employees. Employees can also take advantage of our onsite LiveWell Health Clinic as another resource to seek medical care such as immunizations, preventative screenings and more – no copay required.

To encourage healthy behavior, the Airport offers a Wellness Incentive Program where employees can earn up to three days pay each year.

Pay

DFW Airport is committed to providing competitive pay and medical, dental and vision benefits in order to attract and retain the workforce needed to be an employer of choice.

Employees are eligible for longevity pay after completing one full year of service as a regular full-time employee by end of fiscal year.

The Board is committed to a pay-for-performance philosophy in order to reward each employee for his or her contribution to the Airport. Merit increases or lump sum awards will be based on individual performance.

Basic term life insurance and AD&D coverage is provided and is fully paid for by DFW Airport as an automatic benefit to all employees.

Savings

Public Safety employees earn a defined benefit retirement plan funded both by DFW and the plan participants. DFW offers single life annuity, survivor annuity, and guaranteed period annuity options. The retirement plan works alongside a 457 plan to provide you financial security in your retirement years. Financial planning assistance and retirement planning sessions are also available.

Time Off

We recognize that an employee’s overall well-being includes being able to take time off. We encourage a healthy work-life balance.

At DFW Airport, we offer eligible employees paid time off including holidays, vacation days, sick time and also short-term or long-term disability coverage.

Extras

Employees can enjoy all the ‘extras’ of working at DFW Airport, like free Airport parking, employee discounts at shopping and dining locations in the terminals, tuition assistance and legal advice and services.
